Our craft

Cut, Stitched and Riveted by Hand

No production line. Every apron is made start to finish by one maker at one bench.

  • Hand-cut hides

Each panel is cut by hand so the grain runs where the wear is.

  • Solid copper rivets

Set by hand at every stress point. No staples, no glue.

  • Cross-back straps

Weight sits on your shoulders, never on your neck.

Why Full-Grain Wins

Most aprons sold as leather are not. Here is the difference after two years of daily use.

What we use

Full-Grain Leather

The top layer of the hide, untouched.

  • Keeps the full hide surface and fibre strength
  • Develops a patina instead of cracking
  • Resists sparks, blades and abrasion
  • Lasts decades with basic care

Split Leather

The leftover under-layer, sanded and coated.

  • Surface coating flakes off within months
  • Tears along the split rather than holding
  • No patina, only wear marks
  • Often sold as genuine leather

Waxed Canvas

Cotton with a wax finish.

  • Burns through on contact with sparks
  • Needs re-waxing every season
  • Stains permanently with oil
  • Offers little protection from blades

What Makers Say

Dale R.

Austin, TX

Two years at the forge and it has not torn once. The rivets have gone a deep brown and it fits better now than the day it arrived.

Marcus T.

Portland, OR

I run a busy kitchen and this is the first apron that has survived a full year of service. Wipes clean, sits right, no neck ache.

Jenna K.

Bought it for my woodshop. The tool pockets are deep enough for chisels and the leather has softened beautifully.

Before you order

Common Questions

How do I pick the right size?

Measure your chest at the widest point. Our standard apron fits 34in to 52in, and the straps adjust another 6in either way. If you are between sizes, size up.

How long does shipping take?

In-stock aprons leave the workshop within one business day and arrive in 3 to 5 business days. Monogrammed orders ship the same day where possible.

What is your returns policy?

Wear it, work in it, and if it is not right send it back within 30 days for a full refund. Return shipping is on us.

How do I care for the leather?

Wipe it down with a dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a light coat of conditioner. Never machine wash and never dry it near direct heat.

Do you take custom orders?

Yes. Extra pockets, different strap configurations, longer bibs and bulk orders for teams are all possible. Get in touch and we will quote it.
